I remember one therapist that I saw told me that I "had" to forgive and forge a working healthy relationship. Last time I saw that particular therapist. I'm sorry, but there is just no forgiveness in my heart for someone who systematically tore into me and broke my spirit on a continual basis. How can you LOOK in a kid's eyes, SEE how you are hurting them and then STILL choose to hurt them?
If anyone outside of my family were to say or do those things not one person in the world would expect me to have a relationship with that person. Why then should I be obligated to have a relationship with a family member who is hell bent on doing nothing but inflicting hurt on me?
