I offered to do this for one of my LJ friends who was wanting to gain new readers.

With most social media sites, I can take 'em or leave 'em. But not you, my beloved LJ. I've been here for nearly 10 years (ZOMG really?) and I can honestly say participating here has really changed my life in ways I never thought imaginable. What started out as "therapy" turned into so much more for me.

I credit friends for that. People here are just...nifty! You've all enriched my life, given me things to ponder and taught me plenty about life, the universe, and everything else.

Now make friends! Pimp yourselves out! Hell, pimp me out!

Hi there!

The name is Grayhawk, aka Frank H. I'm a happily married dad on the short side of 40. I work in IT to support my gaming habits. I go through spurts of posts, talking about my life, gaming, and whatever catches my fancy on a given day. Occasionally, something invokes my ire and I go on a rant.

Hi! I'm Missy, and I was shooed over here by popfiend (who is just too nifty for words).

Let's see... the Readers Digest Condensed version of me (and do they even *print* RDC books anymore? I would read those at my grandmothers' house when she would babysit because I was sick.) I'm a 45 year old woman, who is on her second marriage. I have two daughters, although only Cassie is still in the land of the living (Shay, my 21 year old, passed away after fighting leukemia for 17 years in December 2006. You'll find both of my girls mentioned a lot in my LJ, because they're the best things I've ever done in my life). Cassie lives in Anchorage with my sister and 2 nieces, which is slightly more than 4000 miles away from Waco. Too danged far.

I read, play on the computer and try to keep my mental health issues from taking over. I'm pagan, and LGBT-friendly, as well as poly-friendly, kink-friendly, and ... well, pretty much all friendly unless you're an idiot and/or seriously conservative and want to take away/not give rights to my friends. Then I'm not so friendly.

I'm pretty much an open book, so if you want to check out my LJ, go for it. ANYway, nice to meet you. :-)

Just your average miscreant with a white knight complex and a tendency to look at the world in a rather confused and befuddled manner. My writing has been sparse of late -- albeit less so than last year when I took a big dive into the great abyss. Doing my best to dig out of it and come back to my oddly silly self.

Anyhoo, always looking for new friends to follow and be followed by -- not that I can guarantee anything worth readying. Heh. Still, I always feel it better to get to know more people that I can. We all learn from each other's experiences and what a good place to share!

I'm a freelance editor and published children's author. Slightly bonkers, but in an entertaining way, I think (hope). Getting married in October, but I do try not to bang on about it to the point of putting people into comas. Beyond writing and my life in general, I post about things that have made me happy and things that have made me cross in the news, plus general musings, sometimes on rather odd things.
