Izzy is in heat. Yes yes I know I know...get the damn bitch fixed already. Thankfully both Caesar and Thor are sans cojones so there wont be any baby kittens.

Anyways...Izzy is doing her usual game of chirping and writhing on the floor like a harlot to get attention. Caesar could care less. Thor, however, is another story. He keeps trying to mount her only his lack of intelligence has presented a barrier in getting the deed done. He keeps trying to pin her down and he's definitely got the bite her neck part down. But he cant figure out what to do past that. He ends up humping her back, or worse - her head. In the meantime, Izzy gets all pissed and frustrated that she's not getting the goods so she hisses at him and he runs off to soothe his wounded ego. And then 10 seconds later he's back at it for another attempt.

Maybe I should queue up some nature documentaries on the Netflix? You know...instructional videos!

You know, someone could probably make a million on "tantric sex videos" for animals. Got some pandas who arent breeding? Slap in a panda porno!

Boom! Endangered species problem SOLVED!

Heh, I can't decide if that idea would be very amusing or very creepy.

But there are certainly animals out there who could benefit from a little visual aid...

Your dog is beautiful!!

I had a beautiful and loyal husky (that's Mushu in the icon) back when I was living in Tennessee. Unfortunately when my marriage ended and I made the move here to Texas I had to give him up. Luckily I found a GREAT forever home for him - far better than anything I could have provided for him.

But man oh man do I miss him.

I admit, I never get tired of hearing that about my dog. :) That's Cory, my 2 year old, white, long-haired german shepherd. He is very much a handful, but he is also loyal and loving and pretty much my whole world.

I'm sorry to hear about your dog, it is awful to have to give up a pet - they really are like part of your family. But it is great that you found him a wonderful forever home. He looks like a beautiful boy too.

ROFLMAO...really, I tried to keep it in, but having gone through the writhe and roll routine years ago with my eldest I do understand. The efforts of Thor are just hilarious!

What is it about that damn writhing thing? What the hell is that supposed to accomplish?

"Look at me! I can twist myself like a pretzel...impregnate me!"

Date: 2010-06-08 01:01 am (UTC)From: [identity profile] layla-aaron.livejournal.com
ROFLMAO...I don't know why they writhe like that, but I've seen almost all female cats in heat do that.

Maybe that pretzel twisting ability makes it easier for them when trapped on a roof between two males. (I saw that one years ago when I still lived in Tennessee and looked out my parents' kitchen window. I was laughing at the near futility of the situation because the males didn't quite seem to know what to do.)

What part of TN were you in? I was in the Kodak/Pigeon Forge area for about 5 years. I moved here to TX in Dec. 2006.

I'm a Knoxville native, but moved from there to the Tri-Cities area and my parents still live in Bristol.

haha that's so funny! We were quasi neighbors!

I love it here in San Antonio, far more than I did Sevier County. I will say I greatly miss being able to look out my window and see beautiful mountains. But I dont miss the general attitude of people and the shitty wages employers expected people to live on. The culture of greed/good ol boys network in that area just disgusted me.

We were! I definitely miss my mountains, but there are things about TN that I do not miss. I feel bad for that area especially with all of the tourist trap crap there. (Mind you, growing up in Knoxville, I knew that area before Dollywood came in and turned it into the tourist trap area. While I appreciate all that Dolly did to bring more business there, it also ruined the natural beauty of the area. And based on what you've said, the economy started going under too.

I was there from late 2001 to late 2006. The average hotel worker got paid around $7 or $8/hour and was laid off from January until ohhhh...late April.

I was lucky in the beginning because I worked a full time year round position in sales. And I got paid a lot more than that. Unfortunately there was a whole lot of crazy fucked up drama involving a hostile takeover of the company and crazy rednecks. My job, along with several other people who dedicated to launching that company from the ground were the casualties. After that I was never able to get a job of that caliber again (thanks again to said crazy rednecks). Eventually i got a job working at Comcast in Knoxville that helped me survive the end of my marriage.

I was more than ready to leave the Volunteer State behind.

I have all those old days privatized in my LJ at this point. That was another life for me and I am definitely not that girl anymore.

Ugh, that's horrible. Although, I have to admit, things weren't so great for 'professional' jobs when I left Knoxville at the beginning of 1997. I was making around $8/hour at that time so I imagine the average hotel worker was making much lower. Too bad it didn't seem to get better, especially since the area seemed to be and still is rather popular.

There are lots of things about TN that I'm happy to leave in the past. But there are places and people there that I still care for. I definitely did not mind leaving behind the crazy rednecks and a lot of the close-mindedness, but I did end up in an area that has its own level of close-mindedness. (Sadly, there are times when it's even worse than in TN.)

I'm definitely not the girl who left TN in 1997 and a large portion of the changes have occurred in the past year and a half. :) It's a shame we didn't meet earlier, because I was in San Antonio at the beginning of May for a fandom event. We were there for a few days at the Menger Hotel.

Bummer! Well, if you ever head this way again let me know!

I'll definitely do that. :)

lol poor sexually frustrated kitty!

I would have preferred the writhing all over the floor. Before I got my cats fixed, you had to be careful around them. They'd back up into your hand or foot or whatever they could. ::shudder::

Date: 2010-06-08 04:45 pm (UTC)From: [identity profile] dydan.livejournal.com
ewwww! Izzy tries to do that but I give her the evil glare and hiss at her - that usually sends her running away. She is pretty much Jared's cat. She adores him but hates me - except when she's in heat and then she loves everyone.

She's a beautiful cat, but has a shitty personality.

Yeah. It's pretty disgusting. But I finally got that taken care of. LOL
