Seriously? What if he is? Last time I checked, the First Amendment gave us the freedom to embrace ANY religion - or no religion at all.

Sweet Goddess, people....not all Muslims are Ebil Baby Killing Terrorists! Its not like when you become Muslim you get the location of Osama Bin Ladin's Sooper Sekrit Lair and a Do-It-Yourself Acme Suicide Bomb Kit! There are radicals on the fringe who unfortunately draw attention by the hate they spread, but they are certainly not the majority and certainly not a good representation of Muslims worldwide.

Just like there are radical fringe Christians. You know, like the ones who bomb Planned Parenthood Clinics and gun down an OB/GYN in his Church in front of his friends and family.

So if you want to spout off the shit that radical Muslims are somehow representative of ALL Muslims, be prepared to also admit that the Clinic Bombing Doctor Killing Christians are representative of all Christians.

Its never good to paint any group with a broad brush.

This is one of the many things that bugs me about this. The point isn't that Obama is not Muslim – the point is that it shouldn't matter if he is or not, and if he is, so what?

I think people who are upset that he might be Muslim are more disturbed by the fact that it would mean he misrepresented himself as a Christian during the campaign. His sympathies toward those of Muslim faith are just providing fodder for folks who are looking for excuses to criticize him.

i dont get it all though, in the end it should never matter what faith he is, it matters that he does not actively use his religion to run the country.

i go to work, i am not christian.. i talk to pple on phone.. many are catholics.. and they have titles they go by..

Sr. Agnes.. Father Francis.. I am not catholic, however.. i deal with a lot of them so I am respectful of them.. I call them by their title as they announce themselves as such.

Well, first of all, I think saying that Obama is a "secret Muslim" is just a coded racist sentiment to denote that "he's not like us." *wink, wink* Likewise, saying that Obama is not a "natural citizen of this country" is more coded racist speech.

Secondly, if we're really so into speculating about Presidents' true religious leanings, then I'll offer that I never believed George W. was a sincere Christian.

Finally, if all Christian churches and establishments do not publicly denounce the actions of clinic bombers and doctor killers... as they're constantly asking Muslims to denounce the actions of terrorists... then by their own standards, they're saying they agree with the actions of these people, who are also TERRORISTS... but receive softer treatment by the legal system because they're not Muslims.
